Meet the face
behind the posts

Hi, I'm Christie!

I received my B.A. from Oregon State University in Human Development & Family Sciences (Child Development option), and graduated in 2021. And have graduated from Pepperdine University with a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages with a specialization in Leadership in K-12 in 2023! I recently just returned to the States from living in Daegu, South Korea as an English Teacher!

I am passionate about working with children because I believe a lot happens developmentally and it is a crucial period of life. It has also been something I have had experience with through volunteer work, professionally at a job, and through an internship at school. But I'm also interested in administrative work.

Something I have gained more interest in as I had prepared my capstone for my masters, linguistic diversity & how it is important for teachers, especially monolingual teachers, to be more equipped to teach multilingual & multicultural learners.

I am aspiring to become an educator by taking this time to do my best to obtain a teaching license while also sharing about my experiences in education, my faith, and bringing awareness and tips about linguistic diversity!
